- He/she should have completed his/her Secondary Education in the last three years.
- The applicant should have original KCSE certificates with him/her.

- Students can get the preliminary application forms from the Ministry of Education offices or download them from the ministry's website.
- Applicants have the option of applying for a course in five different institutes or universities.
- It is advised to do a complete background check upon submitting admission requirements.
- Complete the application form with documents like birth certificate, certified photocopies of ID, professional or academic certificates and other testimonials.
- They can receive an admission offer from any of their five preferences.
Requirements for a scholarship for undergraduates in India from Kenya
- An applicant needs to write a 500-word essay in English to ascertain his/her proficiency in the language.
- It is compulsory that applicants looking to apply in courses like BE/B.Tech and B.Sc. have studied Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics in their Secondary Examination (higher studies).
A benefit of applying for a scholarship for undergraduates in India from Kenya is that the government provides one return economy class air-fare to the airport nearest to the institute or university. But, no ticket is provided while visiting their country during vacation.
